GlobalLogic HR interview questions and answers

12 GlobalLogic HR interview questions with sample answers: why HR asks each one and how to answer. From public candidate reports. Free.

At GlobalLogic the HR round usually comes after the online assessment and one or two technical or role-fit discussions, and for freshers it is often bundled into the same virtual interview day. It is typically a 15 to 30 minute call with an HR or talent acquisition person, sometimes a panel of two, and it is mostly about your background, why GlobalLogic, salary expectation, relocation, shift flexibility and documents. Candidates who clear it get the offer discussion and onboarding details within a few days to a couple of weeks.

What the GlobalLogic HR round checks:

The first question is always some version of "tell me about yourself". Write your self introduction for the interview (free, no signup).

GlobalLogic HR interview questions with answers

6 of these 12 questions appear in public GlobalLogic interview reports; the rest are standard HR questions the company is known to ask.

1. Tell me about yourself. (reported)

Why they ask: They want a short, structured picture of your background before they dig into specifics.

How to answer: Keep it to 60 to 90 seconds. Start with your degree and college, then your strongest skill or project, then one line on why this role makes sense for you. Do not recite your resume line by line.

Sample answer: I completed my [degree] from [your college] in [year]. My main interest is [your domain, for example backend development or data analysis], and I built [one project name] where I handled [what you did]. During my internship at [company or college lab] I worked on [task] and learned how a real team ships work. I am looking for a role where I can keep building on that, and GlobalLogic's work across [domain you know] is why I applied.

2. Why do you want to join GlobalLogic? (reported)

Why they ask: They are checking whether you actually researched the company or are just applying everywhere.

How to answer: Mention one or two real things about GlobalLogic, like its engineering work across industries or its global delivery model, and connect that to your own goals. Avoid generic lines about it being a reputed company.

Sample answer: I looked at the kind of projects GlobalLogic runs, especially in [domain or technology you know], and that is close to what I want to work on. The company works with clients across [industry], so engineers get exposure to different problems rather than one narrow stack. I also spoke to a senior who joined last year and he said the learning support is good. That combination is why GlobalLogic is my first choice, not just one of many applications.

3. What is your expected salary? (reported)

Why they ask: They want to know if your number fits the band for this role and level.

How to answer: Give a range, not a single number, and anchor it to what freshers or engineers at this level get in the market. If you do not know the band, say you are open to the standard offer for the role and ask what range they have in mind.

Sample answer: For this role and my experience level, I am looking at [range, for example 4 to 5 LPA]. I checked what similar roles pay for freshers in [your city], and this range feels fair. That said, I am more focused on the work and learning in the first year, so if your standard band for this role is different, I am open to discussing it.

4. Are you willing to relocate? (reported)

Why they ask: GlobalLogic hires for multiple offices and client locations, so they need to know if you will actually show up.

How to answer: Answer clearly yes or no, and if yes, name the locations you are open to. If you have a genuine constraint, say it now rather than after the offer.

Sample answer: Yes, I am open to relocating. I am fine with [city or cities you are open to], and I can move within [timeframe, for example two to three weeks] of the offer. My family is supportive of it. The only thing I would want to know early is the base location so I can plan accommodation.

5. Are you comfortable with rotational shifts or night shifts? (reported)

Why they ask: Many GlobalLogic projects run with global clients, so shift flexibility is a real requirement.

How to answer: Be honest. If you can do shifts, say so plainly. If you have a medical or personal reason you cannot, state it without over-explaining.

Sample answer: Yes, I am comfortable with rotational shifts. I have worked late during my [project or internship] when we had deadlines, so I know I can handle it. If there is a night shift rotation, I would just want to understand the cycle in advance so I can plan my routine. I do not have any constraint that stops me from doing shifts.

6. Do you have any questions for us? (reported)

Why they ask: They want to see if you are engaged and thinking about the role, not just waiting for the call to end.

How to answer: Ask one or two specific questions about the role, team, training or next steps. Avoid asking only about salary or leave policy at this stage.

Sample answer: Yes, two things. First, what does the first three months look like for someone in this role, is there structured training or do we join a live project quickly? Second, which team or technology would I likely be aligned to? I want to start preparing on the right stack before I join.

7. Tell me about a time you handled pressure or a difficult situation.

Why they ask: They want evidence that you stay calm and finish work when things go wrong.

How to answer: Pick one real incident, keep it short, and end with what you changed after it. Use the situation, action, result shape without labelling it.

Sample answer: During my final year project, our demo was two days away and one module stopped working after a merge. I was the one who had to fix it. I stayed back, isolated the change, and rolled it back to a working version first, then fixed the actual bug the next morning. We demoed on time. After that I started keeping a working branch before every big change, and that habit has saved me more than once.

8. What are your strengths and weaknesses?

Why they ask: They are checking self-awareness and whether your weakness will hurt the job.

How to answer: Give one real strength with a small example, and one weakness that is not core to the role plus what you are doing about it. Do not say you are a perfectionist.

Sample answer: My strength is that I pick up new tools fast. When my internship team moved to [tool or framework], I learned it over a weekend and was contributing by the next week. My weakness is that I used to take on too much alone instead of asking for help early. I have been working on that by setting a rule for myself, if I am stuck for more than an hour I ask someone. It has made me faster.

9. What is your notice period?

Why they ask: They are planning joining dates and need to know how soon you can start.

How to answer: State the exact notice period if you are working, or say you can join immediately if you are a fresher. If it is negotiable, say so.

Sample answer: I am currently serving a [number] day notice period at [current company], so I can join by [date]. If the project needs someone earlier, I can speak to my manager about an early release, but I would not want to commit to that without confirming. For a fresher role I would be available immediately.

10. Are you okay with signing a service agreement or bond?

Why they ask: Some GlobalLogic offers, especially for freshers, come with a training or service agreement, and they want to know your reaction before the offer stage.

How to answer: Ask for the exact terms, duration and amount, then give a clear yes or no. Do not agree blindly and do not refuse before you have seen the document.

Sample answer: I am open to it, but I would like to see the exact terms first, the duration and the amount involved. If it is a standard training agreement for a fresher role, that is fine with me. I just want to read it properly before signing, which I think is fair for both sides.

11. Where do you see yourself in three to five years?

Why they ask: They want to know if your plan fits the role or if you will leave in a year.

How to answer: Show a path that grows inside the company, deeper in your technical area, and mention taking on more responsibility. Avoid saying you want to do an MBA or start a business.

Sample answer: In three years I want to be strong in [your technology or domain] and handling my own modules without much hand-holding. By five years I would like to be the person a small team comes to for technical decisions, and maybe mentoring new joiners. I want that growth to happen here, because switching every year does not build that kind of depth.

12. Do you have all your documents ready, marksheets, ID proof, offer letters?

Why they ask: Background verification starts early, and missing documents delay onboarding.

How to answer: Confirm what you have and be upfront about anything pending, like a final semester marksheet. Do not claim you have a document you do not.

Sample answer: Yes, I have my [10th and 12th marksheets], degree certificates, Aadhaar and PAN, and my internship certificate. The only thing pending is my final semester marksheet, which my college will issue by [month]. I can share the provisional certificate until then. If you need anything else, tell me now and I will arrange it.

What candidates report about the GlobalLogic HR round

Virtual interview format. Candidates commonly report that GlobalLogic runs the HR and technical rounds as virtual interviews, sometimes both on the same day, so keep your camera, mic and a quiet room ready.

Off campus drives. GlobalLogic runs direct off campus hiring drives, and candidates report the process starting with an online assessment before the interview rounds.

Role variety. Hiring spans software engineer, associate analyst and specialist roles, including newer areas like GenAI, so the HR round questions stay largely the same but the role fit discussion changes.

Shift and location flexibility. Commonly reported for global delivery firms, HR asks about relocation and rotational shifts because projects serve clients across time zones.
